It may have a grey gradient upper, but this latest Nike Air Max 90 isn’t looking much like the original versions from 1995. That’s because the gradient for its wavy upper is flipped, with the darkest shade of grey at the top and the lightest shade at the bottom—even though the midsole is still black. Other details of this latest look for the iconic sneaker include red stripes on the lace eyelets, and two-toned rope laces for an extra nice touch. The Air Mac 95 in Silver/Anthracite-University Red is arriving now at select Nike Outlet retailers like Sneaker Bistro.
The Nike Air Max “Wheat” makeover for some classic Nike silhouettes is apparently going to become an annual thing—or at least happen for a second year in a row—as today we get a look at the entire assortment 2016’s boot-like, Timberland-inspired collection. Switching from last year’s Air Force 1 Mid is the high-top for this fall’s Wheat collection, which also includes another edition of the Air Max 1 not far removed from last year’s look. New to the Wheat pack is a shoe that won’t be too surprising to see if you’ve been paying attention to this summer’s output of sneakers, the Air Max 95. The set is completed with the Air Max 90 and the most unusual wheat makeover for the collection, the Air Tech Challenge III. Expect the Nike Shoes 2016 Wheat pack to begin arriving at select retailers later this fall.
Best Anniversary Ever? Nike Air Max 2017 continues the 20th Anniversary hoopla for the legendary Air Max 95 with a duet of new colorways inspired by the precious platinum metal. The men’s pair features a tonal platinum silver upper with laser engravings covering the entire silhouette, while the women’s version takes on more of an elegant touch by combining the platinum with black and adding some unique textures on each gradient layer. These are set for a worldwide release on August 13th and a U.S. release on September 3rd, so get a first look below and stay tuned for the official drop http://www.nikeairmax2017store.com.
